Obituary

Our hearts are saddened to say that Ruth Neal Hyde, 89 of

Stroud Oklahoma passed away Aug. 16th 2026. She was born March 19th, 1937 in Drumright, Ok to Luther and Rosie Burgan.

Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, and sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great—great grandmother She lived a life defined by deep devotion to her family and kindness to everyone she knew. Neal is survived by her children daughter—Kathryn Harris (Walter), son-Ronnie Hyde (Jamie), Deb Kilgore (Daughter), Judy K. Hyde (Daughter). She is survived by 12 grand-children, numerous great and great great-grand-children. Neal is proceeded in death by her parents Luther and Rosie Burgan, and all her siblings. (Husband) John Hyde (Son), Johnny Hyde, (Daughter) Paula Hyde, (Grandson) Christopher Hyde (Granddaughter) Tanessa Hyde (Son-in-law) Bob Kilgore. She took immense pride in every milestone they reached, her wisdom and endless love will stay with them forever.

Ruth spent her career in the medical field, where her professional life mirrored her personal character. She touched countless lives with her gentle, loving personality, providing comfort and care to those in need. Her coworkers and patients alike will remember her not just for her skills, but for her genuine kindness she brought to every room.

Known for her contagious smile that could brighten the darkest day, Neal was perhaps the happiest when the kitchen was full, cooking delicious meals for everyone and no one ever left the table hungry or unloved. Her home was a sanctuary for warmth, fueled by her deep love for God and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, her warmth, her wis-dom, and her spirit remain a guiding light for her family. We will find comfort in knowing she is in the arms of God, and that her love continues to live on in every life she touched.
