Sallie Lynn Tarr, born February 24, 1945, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and was cherished by those who knew and loved her. Sallie’s life was rooted in Oklahoma, where she built a home and family with quiet strength and devotion. She carried herself with dignity and grace, and her presence brought comfort to those around her. Her life was marked by the love she gave so freely and the steady care she offered to her family through the years. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kathy (Tarr) Cowan and husband Rick, of Tecumseh, Jeff Tarr and wife Paula, of Oklahoma City, as well as her grandchildren, Dylan Brooks Tarr, of Shawnee, Jayme Dawn Cowan, of Oklahoma City, Allex Tarr, of CA, and Barrett Tarr, of Oklahoma City and her beloved great granddaughter Mylah Ann Rose Tarr. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Bobby Tarr. Her family was the center of her life, and her memory will remain a lasting source of love and connection for them. Sallie’s passing leaves a deep void, but her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she helped shape. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered always.
