Sammy Dale Hales of Shawnee, ok passed through the Pearly Gates January 9th, 2022 after a lengthy

battle with multiple chronic illnesses.  He was 84 years old.

Sam was born July 24, 1937 in Walters, OK to George Leonidas Hales, idolized father, and Elsie Elizabeth Hales, adored mother.  He was the 6th of eight siblings all of whom predeceased him.

Sam enlisted in the Navy at 15 and retired from Tinker in 1987.  He shared a lifetime love of hunting and fishing with his two sons Michael Drew Hales and Patrick Dale Hales.  He lived the last seven years of his life with his daughter Shelly Dawn Yoder and son-in-law Walter Yoder.

Sam's greatest sense of pride and joy was his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

and his beloved dog Coco.

Left to mourn his passing are his two granddaughters Erin and Justin Haddox and Bailey Lynn Hales. His four grandsons, Jesse and Courtney Hales, Jacob Hales, Caleb Yoder, and Alexander and Kayleigh Yoder. His great grandchildren, Maddison and Malachi.
