Samuel Thomas Rains III was born June 20, 1938 in Tazewell Virginia. He passed this Life April 30, 2022 at the age of 83. Samuel loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing, he also loved working with his hands in the garden and wood working. Samuel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Preceding him in death are both his parents, one sister Linda Nash, and one Son in Law Robert Winings. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years and 11 months Frances Raines of the home. He is also survived by his children; David and Peggy Raines, Teresa Winings, Tom and Naomi Raines, and Scott and Kelley Raines. As well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Along with one sister Ann Strangmeir. Samuel's legacy will be remembered by a host of other family and friends.
