Obituary

Sherri was born May 12th, 1963 in Woodward, OK. She passed away at her home in Mcloud, OK October 29th 2025.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Hager, fathers, Charles Conaway and Glenn Hager, her aunt, Vonalee Dodd and many others.

Sherri was known for her big heart, words of wisdom, sillyness and of course her stubbornness. She loved to crochet and was very talented at it. Many people came to her asking for a blanket or other project.

Sherri could often be found subbing at the Local school. She loved talking with all the kids and the staff. If she had the opportunity to embarrass her grandkids while subbing, she took it. She loved having them in class and would make sure to have their favorite snacks in hand so they could eat lunch together. Sherri loved to dress up for any occasion. Whether it  was dress up week at the school or Halloween. It was her favorite holiday. She loved making the kids laugh and smile but was never afraid to threaten you with her cane.

Sherri loved and adored her family. She was very proud to be a grandma. She was nicknamed JoJo by her first grandson. Even the kids at the school would often call her that. Sherri often said that she thought that grandchildren were the best. You can sugar them up and send them home. She was at any sporting event that her health allowed her to attend and could be heard yelling in the stands. While we know she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is a pain and sadness. Even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and strength. The way she had touched lives will remain. Sherri leaves behind her husband, Sam Baxter. Sisters, Carla and Misty. Children, John - Elizabeth - Aaron - Sammy - Trevor- Dilan Grandchildren Mikey Dominic Abbi - John - Owen - Collin - Sierra - Liam.

Letter from Sherri:

If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know. Always keep me in your heart, for you are always in mine. Nothing and nobody in this world, not even time will change that. (author unknown)
