Starla Gail Powell, born Starla Gail Clevenger, passed away on October 1, 2026, in Tecumseh, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 15, 1960, in Oklahoma City. Starla will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was centered on caring for others.
Starla loved singing and found joy in camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved being a mother, a Nana, and a MeeMaw. Her family was at the heart of her life, and she gave herself to them with deep devotion and love.

Starla is survived by her husband, Samuel Powell. She also leaves behind her sons and daughters and their families: Christopher J. Powell and his spouse, Rita J.; Failan D. Powell and Adam Parker; Taylor Garfield Powell; and Zachary L.D. and Heaven Powell. Her memory will also be treasured by her grandchildren, Braxton, Kaden, Conner, Brayden, Trinity, and Carleigh. In addition, she is lovingly remembered by her special friends, John and Mary Konwerski.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lowell D. and Catherine L. Clevenger, and by her daughter, Tember Katherine Powell.
Visitation will be held on October 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Brown's Family Funeral Home, 416 E Broadway, McLoud, Oklahoma 74851. A funeral service will be held on October 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Brown's Family Funeral Home.
