Stephen William Jenks 70, of Shawnee, OK passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 surrounded by close family. Stephen was born December 22, 1947 in Orange, Tx. He graduated from Muskogee High school in 1966. He retired from working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities but continued to advocate for them. Steve was an easy-going man, he loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He loved to fish and enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his grandkids. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. We will all miss his kindness, big heart and the laughter he shared. He was preceded in death by his Carolyn of 46 years, mother, father and two brothers. He leaves behind his children, Lynette, Shelly and her husband Jamie, Brian and his wife Cheryl, grandchildren, Gabrielle, Summer, Ethan and Kelsey, sister Barbara along with many other family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday June 13 at Life Church, 5113 N. Harrison St., Shawnee, OK 74804 with Pastor Randal Miller officiating.
