IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven Lee
Herron
January 13, 1953 – March 29, 2025
Steven Lee Herron, 72, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2025, in his hometown of Shawnee. Steven was born on January 13, 1953, to Lue and Anne Herron, who preceded him in death.
A proud veteran, Steven served his country with honor for four years. His intellect, kindness, and faith touched the lives of everyone who knew him. In the 1980s, Steven appeared as a contestant on Jeopardy!, a moment that perfectly reflected his deep love for learning and quick wit. He was truly an intellectual, always eager to share knowledge and explore new ideas.
Steven also had a deep passion for music. He was a gifted pianist and singer, using his talents to glorify God. One of his greatest joys was singing and playing piano in church, where he found purpose in praising the Lord through music.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Lue and Anne Herron; his sister, Connie Lou; and his infant brother, Michael Keith.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 and a half years, Kathy Herron; his two sons, Robert Herron and wife Shannon, and Keith Herron and wife Jennifer, his step daughter Amelia Petersen and husband Isaiah. His cherished grandchildren: Penny, Benjamin, and Eisley. His legacy lives on in the lives of his family and in the melodies he once played and sang with joy.
Steven will be remembered for his deep faith, quick mind, musical soul, and loving heart. He was a man who lived with grace, served with pride, and praised with passion. He will be missed dearly.
