On Wednesday, Feb 18, 2026, Tony Wayne Whited, loving husband, father of one, passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 66. Tony was born in Shawnee, OK on Sep 8, 1959 to Hilbert and Pearl Whited.

Tony was in the Navy from 1981 to 1987. While in Norfolk, VA, he met his sweetheart and had a daughter, Jessica Knight, who was born on July 21, 1980. Jessica passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 25, 2016. Tony has three grandchildren, Kyle, Bristol and Destiny, and two great-grandchildren, Jaylynne and Journey.

Tony met the love of his life, Ann, around 1988 in Shawnee and they married shortly thereafter. Tony and Ann taught martial arts in Shawnee and at his dojo in Tecumseh. Tony later owned a computer repair business and gave up the business due to Ann's declining health. Ann passed away on Sep 24, 2015.

After Ann's passing, Tony's health also began to deteriorate. He filed for disability due to diabetes and stage 4 renal failure. Tony started dialysis in 2024. In 2025, he moved in with his niece, Sarah Price, who was his caregiver until his death.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hilbert and Pearl Whited; his daughter Jessica Knight; wife Ann Whited; and three sisters, Joyce Marie Whited, Ella Jane Foisy, and Patsy Ruth Lakin.

He is survived by his two brothers and their wives, Ed and Patsy Whited, and Richard and Judy Whited. He is also survived by his best friend, Tim Clock, who is his godson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We would like to thank the nursing staff, the many doctors, and Regency Nursing Home, who all provided excellent care.
