Viola Walker, 79, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, surrounded by love. She was born on November 20, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Placido and Manuela Lopez.

Viola was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Walker; her parents, Placido and Manuela Lopez; and her brother, Oscar Lopez.

She is survived by her loving children: Joel Garrett and Daelle Woolwine Garrett, Vanessa Mudd and David, Valerie Walker, and Veronica Walker. Viola was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: Jasmine, Jozey, Anthony, Adriane, Ashton, Nicholas, Breeana, Brittnaye, Bradan, and Baily, and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Sophie, Ezekel, Boston, Clarke, Killian, and Callum. She is also survived by eight siblings, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Viola was deeply faithful and very religious, finding great comfort and strength in her Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life. She had a special love for yellow roses, enjoyed spending time at flea markets, and took great pride in collecting dishes. A true social butterfly, Viola never met a stranger and had a warm spirit that made everyone feel welcome. She especially loved shopping and spending time with her family, whom she adored beyond measure.

Viola's kindness, faith, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, devotion, and generosity will continue to live on through her family and friends.
