Violet Mae Goodnight entered this life on December 19, 1954, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to loving parents Roy and Clemmie Deshields. On October 30, 2024, Violet entered into eternal rest at the age of 69, surrounded by her cherished loved ones in the comfort of her home.
Violet was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, with a spirit as warm and welcoming as her smile. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rex Hall, her parents and siblings, Marvin Deshields, Faye McCoy, Raberta Cellars, William "Sonny" Deshields, Coeta Branscum, Jerry Deshields, and Jackie Deshields. She leaves behind her children, Coeta Little and John McLoud, Andrea Hall, John Allen Hall, and Stephanie, as well as her beloved sister Linda Sue Lockard and her husband Darrel, sister-in-law Karen Deshields, twelve grandchildren, and two precious great-grandchildren who will forever carry her legacy in their hearts.
Violet enjoyed life to the fullest, with a particular fondness for fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. She loved music, had an enduring affection for her cats, and found great joy in collecting pens. She was always happiest when surrounded by her family, who will remember her love for chocolate, her laughter, and her joyful spirit.
