Walter Lewis Lester (88) was peacefully promoted to glory on Sunday morning, April 16th, 2023 at his home in Shawnee, OK, surrounded by loving family.

He was born in Feds Creek, KY to the late Jessie and Bessie (Taylor) Lester. He spent his childhood in Feds Creek with his large family and enjoyed telling stories of his spirited youth in the country.

He was born again on January 5, 1969 and then married Irene (Falk) Lester on June 28th, 1969. He spent decades doing what he loved, pastoring and winning souls for Christ.  He was a passionate pastor, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. He enjoyed attending church and was a faithful member at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Bessie Lester and siblings, Josephine, Ellie, Ellis, Evelyn, Lawrence, Holly, and Ruby.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Lester, brother, Howard Lester (Mary), children and stepchildren, John Flesher (Lisa), Mark Flesher (Jean), Debra Flesher, Bob Lester (Gail), Alisha Lester, and Walter Lester Jr (Terenda), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on April 20th, 2023 at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker, OK to remember and celebrate Walter's wonderful work on earth and his eternal worship of God in heaven.
