Carolin Ann Rich

Shawnee - Carolin Ann Rich was born on December 8, 1944, in Modesto, CA, to Chester Franklin Rich and Lelo Morgan. Carolin passed from this life on October 25, 2021, in Shawnee, OK, surrounded by her family.

As a girl, Carolin was an adamant horse lover. She learned to ride at a young age and owned several horses throughout her life. She was a member of The Tecumseh Round Up Club in the '80's and attended many Play Days and Rodeos during that time.

Carolin also had an ear for music. She played acoustic guitar and sang bluegrass and country music with her step-dad, John, on many occasions. It made a family get together something to remember!

In her later years, she spent a lot of her time collecting her favorite trinkets, and researching her genealogy, but nothing was more important than her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Preceding her in death are both her parents, (step-father) John Walton Barnes, (sisters) Barbara Sue Fox and Dorothy Jean Morris.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her five children, Diana Lynn Nealy (David Lear) of Shawnee, OK; Angela Sue (Roger) Keen, of Quinlan, TX; Tina Louise (Robert) Fogarascher, of Wellston, OK; Stephen Robert (Rebecca) Miles, of Forest Grove, OR; and Melissa Ann Witt, of Shawnee, OK, along with one brother, Benny John Barnes, of Challis, ID, as well as eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, with one on the way. Carolin will be remembered by a host of other family and friends.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at Sharon Baptist Church, 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Drive, Shawnee, OK 74801. Services will be officiated by Pastor Clint.
