Delbert Wayne Winter of Meeker Oklahoma was born April 29, 1939 to Roy and Belvia Winter in Prague, Oklahoma. Wayne went to be with his Lord on April 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 83.
Wayne was a master carpenter and truly enjoyed his wood working. He enjoyed messing around in his garden and spending time at the coffee shop in Meeker drinking his coffee. Wayne was a very devoted member of the Assembly of God Church for 50 plus years and served as a deacon for 10 or more of those years. Wayne was right in the middle of the huge undertaking in rebuilding the church after its fire. Most important in his life was spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Preceding Wayne in death are both of his parents, and four siblings; Arvel Winter, Jerlene Handison, Mildred Fowler, and Herman Winter. Along with two grandchildren Rachel Winter, and James Dade. Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Ruth Ann Winter (Leister) of the home who he married in 1958 at the ripe old age of 19. His five children Kelvin Winter and wife Debra, Kenneth Winter and wife Jennifer, Cheryl Watts and husband Jason, Terri Rhoades, and Stacy Guthrie. Along with his grandchildren; Tristen, Sarah, Jaime, Jacob, Joshua, Micah, Samantha, Bryan, Kaylyn, Dayne, Zayden, and Zaycia. As well as ten great grandchildren. Wayne has four surviving siblings; Glen Winter, Dorothy Randall, Delores Elrod, and Norma Pettitt. Wayne's legacy will be remembered by a host of other family and friends.
