Glen Dennis Pitre

Glen Dennis Pitre entered this world on November 24, 1939 as the fourth child born to Jason and Thelma Pitre in Slick, Ok. He accepted the Lord at an early age. 

Glen graduated from Slick High School in 1958. He then went to the Army in the summer of 1959. After serving several years and spending time in Korea, he decided that was enough and came back home.

He came back home and began to search for a career and a partner to live life with. Well, he had an eye on this feisty little cute lady but she couldn't stand him until he had to change her tire. After that, he married the love of his life Joyce V. Pitre. This union produced two children Dennis and Derrick and 1 grandson, Kendell.

Glen was a faithful member and servant of True Vine Ministries. He loved his calling as a Wednesday afternoon Bible teacher. He served many years and loved every minute he spent doing it. 

He worked at Oklahoma Natural Gas for over 25 years and then retired as a supervisor. 

After a brief illness, Glen departed this life October 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his parents, sisters, Cedonia Johnson and Helen Mustin, brothers, Carl Leon, Jason Don, Clarence and Wendell Pitre. 

Glen leaves to cherish his memory his sons Dennis Pitre of McLoud, Ok. and Derrick Pitre of OKC, Ok: his grandson Kendell Taft of Blanchard, Ok: sister Darlene (Arthur) Colbert of Slick, Ok and brother Dwight Pitre of Kansas City, Mo and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
