Jerry Don Wallis, of Paden, passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the age of 81. Jerry was born on March 24, 1942, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Alfred and Clara Mae (Capps) Wallis. He was the eldest of three children. Surviving brother and sister-in-law Johnnie and Kay Wallis of Paden and one surviving sister Linda Wallis of Eufaula, Oklahoma.
Jerry graduated from Paden High School in 1960. After high school he joined the Army and served for three years as a company clerk. When returning home, he married the love of his life, M. Colleen Walker-Wallis in 1965. Jerry and Colleen had a son Gary three years later. Jerry worked at McDonnel Douglas for 28 years as a parts planner and retired as a sheet metal worker from Tinker Air Force Base. In his spare time, he and his son enjoyed raising roosters, hunting, and fishing, golfing, and playing with his grandkids, Autumn and Summer.
He is preceded in death by his wife M. Colleen Wallis and his parents, Alfred and Clara Mae Wallis and stepson Rocky Vanwinkle.
He is survived by his son Gary Don and daughter in law April Wallis, stepdaughter Connie (Vanwinkle) and husband, Steve Carson of Edmond, Oklahoma. Two granddaughters Summer Wallis and Autumn (Wallis) and Jacob Bryant and great grandson Weston Bryant all of Paden. Eight step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren, many beloved brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
