John Wesley Sweeney entered this life on May 13, 1948 to Marlin R.C. and Thelma P. Sweeney. John entered into eternal rest on March 18, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 73.
John was a proud veteran and proudly served in the Army and Navy for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, Mary Sweeney who he married on February 9, 1971. He loved sharing stories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also known to never turn away sweets especially when it came to his donuts and honey buns.
Preceding John in death is his beloved wife Mary, his parents, and his grandson, Robert Sweeney. Left to celebrate his life are his three children, John Sweeney and spouse Brandy of Waynesville, Missouri, Lucretia Luallen of Moore, Oklahoma, and Chris Sweeney and spouse Nicky of McLoud, Oklahoma. Along with 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His two siblings, Ed Sweeney of Cottonwood, California and Mary Peeples of Newalla, Oklahoma.
