Percy Roy Barker

Percy was born Nov. 5, 1957 in Shamrock, Texas to Ernest McClellon and Vlora June Dewitt Barker. He passed away at his home in Chandler with Joan by his side. He was 64 years old. 

Percy lived most of his life in Sparks and Chandler. he graduated from Chandler High School in 1977. He attended Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech in Shawnee where he took classes in masonry. He met Joan Titus Dec. 28, 1979 in Shawnee. They married June 6, 1980.

Percy owned and operated Barker's Masonry where he and Joan worked together in the business for over 42 years. Percy was a simple man and he really enjoyed the simple things in life had to offer. He enjoyed the many challenges of masonry as as the outdoors. He was called an artist many times for his skills as a brick layer and a stone mason, but could never take a compliment. 

Percy is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and siblings, Sherry Willis, Robert Barker, Ernest Percy Barker, Della, and Chodd Barker. His brother in law, Gene Titus. 

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 42 years Joan Barker. His nieces, nephews, sister in law Odie Titus, best friend, David as well as other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
