Ruth Ann Winter

Ruth Ann Winter, 82, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her home in Meeker surrounded by her family. Ruth Ann was born on August 25, 1941 in Payson, Oklahoma. She grew up in Payson. 

At the young age of 17, she married the love of her life, Delbert "Wayne" Winter. She completed her senior year and graduated from Prague High School. They moved to California and had their first two children, Kelvin and Kenneth. Shortly after moving back to Meeker they had Cheryl. In 1985 Ruth Ann and Wayne were blessed with their two youngest daughters Terri and Stacy. They lived between Prague and Meeker for many years where they raised their family. The family had horses, motorcycles, boats, RVs, and enjoyed camping and taking summer family vacations. Ruth Ann enjoyed reading, swimming, spending time with her family, and traveling with Wayne.

Preceding Ruth Ann in death is her beloved husband, Delbert "Wayne" Winter, her parents, William Roy Leister and Opal (Gouker) Leister, and her brother, William "Jr" Leister. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachel Ruth Ann Winter and her great grandson, James Winter Dade. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kelvin Winter and spouse Debra of Noble, OK., Kenneth Winter and spouse Jennifer of Watford City, ND., Cheryl Watts and spouse Jason of Meeker, OK., Terri Rhoades of Oklahoma City, OK., and Stacy Guthrie of Dennison, TX. Her grandchildren, Tristen, Sarah, Jaime, Jacob, Joshua, Micah, Samantha, Bryan, Kaylynn, Dayne, Zayden, and Zaycia. As well as 11 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
